Service Description
Students who have experienced trauma may exhibit outward anger or may even internalize feelings. Everyone needs an outlet whether it be music, boxing, poetry, dancing, sports, reading, etc. How do young people find a positive outlet? In this class, we will help your students find their outlet. Exposure is the Key. We will teach them how to: -Create a personal vision statement -Determine your values -Find your true north -Make a list of things you love to do -Assess the things you don’t love -Acknowledge your strengths and achievements -Acknowledge their shortcomings -Practice journaling -Embrace mindfulness -Seek guidance from a mentor or trusted person -Surround yourself with people with similar passions -Expose yourself to different arenas
