Many times school is the only refuge for students. In spite of what may be going on at home, in their neighborhood and/or community they continue to come to school. Some students know how to cover up a internal wound with a smile and others you can clearly see the external wound both are using survival skills but in a different way. It's up to us to listen and be conscious about the non verbal and verbal cues. These are their stories.
